See All ReviewsThe fajitas are super tender and I was served large portions of everything. Of the two salsas, the green was my favorite. And for service, be sure to ask for Karen, she was very attentive to our table. You won't be disappointed with the visit.
Here's the Breakdown. Went to Mezcales for Mexican food because in this town, its one of the only few restaurants, that isn't fast food, open past 10pm. We ordered 6 entrees, 2 appetizers, and 1.....Piña Colada. Total was about $165. Total sounds like a lot and it is but the food and portions were very respectable. Enchilada plates were good. Unless you love cheese, I'd go with the beef enchiladas with queso. Also ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. Also good. Fajitas were on point except for one of the plates being a little stingy on the vegetables. 2 entrees were fajita plates. Speed of service I felt was slow. There were some big parties there (this was right after the local Highschool graduation) so that could be excused. Staff was friendly and professional. Drinks were generally kept filled and waitress was attentive but didnt linger. Inside seems large and clean. It is a bit odd though that they have 2 Unisex bathrooms. So men and women are both waiting in a cramped little hallway to see who uses whatever bathroom opens first. Like It, Love It, Leave It? I liked it. Would definitely eat here again. I suggest you give it a try. Sure that they'll have something on the menu you'll enjoy. They also have a lunch menu if that helps.
We went there expecting a normal mexican resturaunt, but got a genuine fine dining experience while only paying small town prices. Every single ingredient was made fresh which we could tell by the taste. The salsa was made with care, and with real seasoning, presumably in house, which made it really good. The green sauce was too spicy for me but my dad loved it. Their shrimp quesadillas were great, I reccomend them; and their sopapillas were great too. Service was great too, seated in seconds, and never had to wait for service at all.
